Description of RAVEN R9-4 Gas Blowback Pistol
RAVEN R9-4 is an improved and modernized version of the popular R9 platform.
This Airsoft pistol is made with high-quality materials, featuring an aluminum alloy for the body and slide and a durable polymer for the grips. Both the body and slide are machined using CNC technology, ensuring precise and high-quality fit, and then coated with electrostatic paint for a durable, matte finish.
The R9-4 stands out for its precision, thanks to its 6.03 mm inner barrel and adjustable hop-up unit, which allow for excellent accuracy in shots at medium and short distances. The protected green fiber sights help facilitate target acquisition, especially in low-visibility conditions. This Airsoft pistol mimics the operation of a real firearm, with controls that operate the same way as those of a real firearm, but using 6mm BBs. The fire selector offers "Safe" and "Semi-Automatic" modes, and when set to "Safe" while cocked, the pistol decocks automatically and locks the trigger.
The R9-4's firing system combines both double and single action, allowing you to load the first BB into the chamber and then engage the safety. In this position, the first shot is performed with a long trigger pull (double action), cocking the hammer before firing. After firing, the slide retracts and recocks the hammer, making subsequent shots single action, with a shorter and smoother trigger pull. Controls such as the disassembly lever, slide safety, and magazine release operate with great smoothness and precision.
The R9-4 features a 20mm rail with 3 slots on the frame, allowing you to add accessories like tactical flashlights and lasers, enhancing its versatility in CQB (close-quarters battle) environments. It also includes a lanyard ring at the base of the grip, providing greater safety and control during use. The external barrel has a 14mm CCW thread, allowing for the installation of suppressors or tracers.
Regarding performance, the Airsoft pistol offers an exit velocity of approximately 325 FPS (100 MPS) with 0.20g BBs, using NUPROL 2.0 or Vorsk V6 gas at a temperature of 20°C. The R9-4 includes a gas magazine with a capacity of 24 BBs, though versions with CO2 magazines and extended gas magazines for 48 BBs are also available (sold separately).
